Call for Disaster-related Expert Panel Participants!
Seeking disaster preparedness and response experts in all sectors for a research study to validate a hazard vulnerability assessment for community-dwelling older adults with respiratory disease.
We are searching for 20 participants who are nationally or internationally recognized disaster-related professional experts in their discipline, field, or specialty. Examples include first responder, disaster responder, public health, home health, health disparities, emergency health care/nursing, disaster health care/nursing, or health care management.
Experts will participate in 1) an initial 90-minute virtual interview, 2) up to three follow-up internet surveys, and 3) the potential for a final 90-minute virtual interview for a subset of participants.
This project has a special focus on cultural relevance among those with Black or African American racial and ethnic identities, inclusive of biracial and multiracial. In order to support our commitment to eliminating health disparities, and diversity recruitment among our expert panel, we will also request demographic information in our screening form to maintain our accountability to diversity recruitment.
